Highlighting our commitment to supporting local communities through this time of uncertainty, the Parr team has been involved in many initiatives over recent months. Working with partners and colleagues we have taken a significant step to show our support for the wider community by organising and mobilising a multi-organisation support team aimed at supporting Northern Ireland and North West of England’s most vulnerable citizens, elderly and NHS staff in the front line of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Our team offered a range of services and support to our local communities, including emergency boiler call-outs and repairs and addressing electrical emergencies for elderly and vulnerable residents and NHS staff throughout the communities we serve.
Deep cleaning services for both residential and commercial properties have also been available through our partnership with ‘UNTIL ITS DONE’.
Members of the Parr team have also been out and about across Northern Ireland in areas including North and East Belfast, Ballymena and Newtownabbey to help those most in need with deliveries of fresh fruit, vegetables and Easter eggs as residents continued to protect the NHS and save lives by staying at home.
We were happy to support Paul Johnston and his team at Monkstown Boxing Club, alongside local boxer Steven Ward, to deliver meals from Boojum Belfast across the community to families, elderly and frontline workers. It was also great to see the team at the Boxing Club setting up a food bank to help the local Monkstown community!
Stephen Parr, Parr Group’s Managing Director said “In these uncertain times, we felt it was important to help our most vulnerable citizens and NHS heroes on the frontline however we could. In times of crisis, we wanted to show a united front within the local business community to try and offer support to the elderly and vulnerable and also frontline NHS staff who are helping to win the fight against COVID-19. Thank you to all our staff for their hard work and support in ensuring these community initiatives were possible.”
